RJ Tools ("we", "us", "our") provides free online calculators at rjtools.org. This policy explains what information is collected when you use the site, how it's used, and the choices you have. We've kept it short and specific to what this site actually does, rather than a generic template.

Information We Collect

Calculator Inputs

Every calculator on this site runs in your browser using JavaScript — the numbers and text you enter are calculated on your device and are not saved to a database or sent to us. When a calculator updates the page URL (for example, /health/bmi-calculator/70/175), that's so the specific result is shareable and bookmarkable, not because we're storing what you entered.

Automatically Collected Information

Like virtually every website, our web server automatically logs standard technical information with each page request — things like your IP address, browser type, referring page, and the pages you visit. Because calculator inputs can appear in the page URL, they may appear in these server logs the same way they would for any page you visit on any site. This information is used only for keeping the site running securely (e.g. spotting abuse or errors) and is not linked to your identity or used to build a profile of you.

Information You Provide

If you email us (for example, via the address on our Contact page), we'll have whatever information you choose to include in that email — typically just your email address and message. We use it only to respond to you.

Cookies

RJ Tools does not currently use cookies for tracking or advertising, and we don't require any cookie consent banner because we don't set any non-essential cookies. If that changes in the future — for example, if we add analytics or advertising — we'll update this policy and add the appropriate notice before doing so.

Analytics & Advertising

We do not currently use third-party analytics (such as Google Analytics) or advertising services on this site. If we introduce either in the future, this section will be updated to name the specific service, what data it collects, and how to opt out, before it goes live.

Third-Party Links

Some pages link to external resources (for example, other calculators or reference sites) for further reading. We aren't responsible for the privacy practices of any site we link to — once you leave rjtools.org, that site's own privacy policy applies.

Children's Privacy

This site is intended for general audiences and isn't directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information (for example, via email), contact us and we'll remove it.

Data Security

Since we don't collect or store personal data or calculator inputs in a database, there's very little of substance for us to secure — the main data we hold is standard server access logs and any emails you send us, which are kept only as long as needed for the purposes described above.

Your Choices

Because no tracking cookies are set, there's nothing to opt out of on our end today. You're always free to use your browser's privacy settings (private/incognito browsing, blocking third-party scripts, etc.) for extra peace of mind.

Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes — most likely because we've added a new feature like analytics, advertising, or user accounts — we'll update the "Last updated" date above and describe the change here.
